Lasts Wednesday's Rehearsal...

Hello Everyone...

First of all, i would just like to express my disgust at the cancellation of our Wednesday gig at Ateneo due to an alledged incoming typhoon... Where's that damn storm? A wasted opportunity indeed...

Well, the day wasn't all wasted because we made use of it to practice in preparation for the coming gigs in which two of our "good looking" (Sirs Charles and Jann Paul) pillowmates would be missing... I've commissioned both Kel and Dennis (Candyaudioline) to fill-in for both absentees... i was expecting a smooth, flawless jamming session with both Dennis and Kel but i was wrong... it was much difficult with the two especially with Kel... Jann Paul's skill, although not up to par with Kel's was sorely missed... JP's lack in agility is in fact a blessing of sorts because what he is capable of doing turns out to be just enough for each song and its elements to blend properly... I remember the last time when we practiced as a complete unit, each song was really a joy to execute... even the new song "The Louder You'll Know", inspite of it being a bit "confusing", JP's consistency with the patterns in terms of speed and dynamics, still made the song sound so "handsomely swell"...

I guess i just have to do with this for the meantime and hope that Kel would soon be able to adjust to this band's standards and would come to realise that unlike Candyaudioline which is a band who's songs are designed to wreck havoc via sheer agressive restraint, Soft Pillow Kisses is just content to walk leisurely like a well fed cat into the hearts of anyone who cares to give a fuck...
